The load

Proper compost. Proper bags.

This is bulk compost for gardens, allotments and landscapers — not a couple of shop sacks. A “tonne bag” is sold by volume. Each one holds about 800kg of compost, not a full tonne on the scales.

  • Dark, crumbly, ready to spread or dig in
  • Five bags is a serious load — raised beds, borders, new lawns
  • Dropped on the drive. You decide where it goes from there

The price

Five bags. One-ninety.

£190 for 5 tonne bags. That’s the usual drop. Need a bigger job? Price scales with the bags. Further than the usual round and a fair surcharge is added for the miles.

Volume, not weight — about 800kg estimated per bag. Cash or bank transfer when Andy turns up.

Not five tonnes on a weighbridge — five bulk bags, sold by volume. Distance beyond the usual round may add a surcharge. Andy confirms before he loads up.

The round

Essex first. Then the neighbours.

Core drops to Ongar, Swanley, Harrow and parts of Kent. Wider Essex is usually fine. Further afield depends on the distance — Andy will say so before you commit.
