  Ongar is where the round starts. The town and the villages around it are regular drops, not a special trip.

  Epping sits on the same side of Essex as Ongar, so it is on the normal round rather than a detour.

  Loughton

  Loughton is a regular swing down from Ongar and Epping. Suburban drives, and allotments that take a proper load.

  Chigwell

  Chigwell sits between the Essex round and the London side. It is covered, and a surcharge is not the usual story.

  Brentwood is further from Ongar than Epping, but it is still Essex and Andy is out this way often enough to say yes.

  Chelmsford is not the home round, but a lot of Essex jobs out this way still get done. The postcode decides it.

  Harlow is north of Ongar and it is a straightforward run when the roads are clear. New-town drives are usually easy to unload.

  Romford is on the London side of Essex. Andy covers Havering on the runs that already come down from Ongar.

  Swanley

  Swanley sits on the Kent border and it is a run Andy already does. Gardens, allotments and landscapers — not a favour.

  Dartford

  Dartford is the next town on from Swanley, so it is often the same run. Not every Dartford postcode is identical — the crossing and the estates differ.

  Sevenoaks

  Sevenoaks is further than Swanley. Andy will go, but this is where a surcharge for the miles is more likely.

• North-west London

  Harrow

  Harrow is the western end of the round. Once you are actually in Harrow, a surcharge is rarely needed.

  Not the whole county. For this round, Kent means working out from Swanley — the border, Dartford, and the towns on that side.
